Begin Again.

Four years ago in Hawaii I ran a 15.6 mile race. It took me exactly two hours, fifty four minutes and fourteen seconds. (I am not the swiftest of runners).  That’s almost three hours of running. The Exchange

I pass a fellow runner. It’s ever so slight. A nod of the head. Lock of the eyes. Maybe a smile. The exchange. Mere seconds. The acknowledgement. That you are out here too. That you put on your shoes. That you are making time. To sweat. To breathe. Clear your head. Fuel your muscles. One foot in front of the other. I don’t know you. But I get why you’re here.
