The Pace of Nature

“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

A few of my favorite shots from the past few weeks. We got a log cabin in Grand Lake, Colorado in March, and enjoyed our first float of the season last weekend here in Saratoga on the North Platte River. I’m extremely drawn to wildlife lately and it’s abundant here, though often elusive, which creates for a fun challenge when it comes to photography. Floating down the river definitely offers a unique vantage point for some great shots. From trying to get a photo of a tiny mountain bluebird to a majestic moose, I love how the process becomes a practice in observation, patience, and staying wildly present.
