September was a busy month with visitors in town, so I haven’t written much. I have however, been toting around my camera taking photos all over the island. My brother, a very skilled photographer (see his work here), has been giving me little lessons over the last couple of weeks. I have a lot to learn but I’m having fun attempting to apply what he has taught me so far.
Here are a few of my shots. Sometimes I have to pinch myself as a reminder that I actually live on this breathtaking island.
- Chinaman’s Hat
- Kualoa Crab
- Peace
- Bamboo markings
- Reminder
- Byodo-In Temple, Winward Side
- Kailua Beach
- The ‘Mokes’
- The beach is where my heart is
- Lanikai
- Diamondhead view
- Hungover
- Hanging Around
- Tough Life
- Balance
- Shark’s Cove snorkeling
- Turtle Bay surf
- Photography Lesson at the shrimp truck
- North Shore shrimp
- Waikiki Sail
- Fanfare
Great shots! Miss you.
I almost started to tear up when I saw his Moks shot. My favorite spot. How lucky I was to spend 3 years in such a special place.
