Worlds Collide

My mountain girl Michelle and I met in university in a horrendous statistics class. The ultimate post college question  – “What Should I Do With My Life?” and a book of the same name by Po Bronson was the topic of many of our conversations. One thing became clear to both of us in the years that followed graduation: WHERE we were in the world was important to us. The rest we’d figure out when we got there. Michelle packed her bags for the mountains of Whistler, B.C and I headed off to the beaches of Hawaii.

Last week I had an article published in the Pique, a newspaper in Whistler. Michelle sent me a hardcopy along with this note:

    I remember you telling me about seeing her on twitter! Remember our North Shore Paddle Date and this topic came up. Loved the picture you took of your friends note (and her words) and really enjoyed the article. Great job!
